Acrylic and Wood on Panel, 6″ x 6″ x 3″
It’s really a portrait of my mental state during this odd time. There is isolation, loneliness, the reduction of our humanity into displays of data. It’s an ephemeral, untethered, fragile state emerging through the blackness brought on by the pandemic. But there is also focus, beauty, and a sense of stillness about working on art in quarantine, which I hope comes through with this piece. Each painted wooden piece is like a little poem, my little attempts at serenity and balance. Glued together they form a kind of floating flower arrangement or imaginary architecture or curious prayer, framed by a hopeful green gold.
