A Juried Community College Exhibit
Please Note: You must be a current student at any Denver (Metro), CO Community College.
Submission dates: Now through April 8th
Public voting and opening reception is on May 22nd from 6 – 9 PM
Get discovered, put yourself out there, and see how your work stacks up in Art Gym’s Juried Community College Exhibit. Whether you’re a full-time student or dabbling in a few classes, just supply a student ID or proof of registration for any art course taken in the last 12 months to submit.
It is Free to Apply.
Submissions will be accepted in four categories:
- 2D Design (graphic design, print)
- 3D works (jewelry, sculpture, ceramics)
- Drawings/Paintings
- Photography
Selected work must be delivered to Art Gym Denver by May 18, and be wall or pedestal-ready, with appropriate hardware installed.
How to win:
- The juror will select a “best of” in each category as the Juror’s choice.
- Guests at the opening reception cast their votes with dollars.
- The artist with the most public votes in each category will receive the total as a cash award.

About our Juror Eric Nord:
Nord brings his extensive knowledge and experience in the administration and finance of non-profit arts and cultural organizations, his passion for art history and the ever evolving conversations within art, as well as his dedication to the development and enrichment of the Denver Artistic Community.
Throughout his career, in addition to being co-owner of Leon Gallery, he has worked in the financial, administrative, and production departments of some of the world’s most prestigious institutions including, The New York Shakespeare Festival’s Public Theater, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The New York Society for Ethical Culture, Sperone Westwater Gallery, and The Denver Center for the Performing Arts. In 1994, he served as Executive Director of the E. E. Cummings Centennial Celebration, producing poetry readings, manuscript exhibitions, panel discussions, and walking tours, throughout New York City, in partnership with The New York Public Library’s 42nd St. Branch and Jefferson Market Branch, The 92nd Street Y, The Poetry Society of America, and The Metropolitan Transit Authority.
His own art has been exhibited in recent years at Redline, Understudy, The McNichols Building – Arthyve’s Archives as Muse, and The Vicki Myhren Gallery, and his music compositions have been performed Off-Broadway, at The Public Theater, and at the N.Y. Public Library.
