Unlock the secrets of Batik, a beautiful, traditional fabric dyeing technique that uses wax to create intricate patterns on fabric. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, our expert instructor will teach you to make two fabric types. The first is Batik Lukis, which involves one-of-a-kind patterns drawn with tjanting tools. The second is Batik Blok, a stamping process used to create batik fabric rolls. Both techniques will focus on applying wax, using dyes, and designing unique patterns you will take home. No experience is necessary, and all supplies are provided. Just come and learn an old technique that may become your new favorite.
