Unlock the secrets of Batik, a beautiful, traditional fabric dyeing technique that uses wax to create intricate patterns on fabric.

In this 3-hour workshop, participants will learn the foundational skills of batik art, focusing on the sue of traditional tools such as the Tjanting to apply wax and create intricate patterns on fabric, known as Batik Lukis.

We will also explore color layering, pattern creation like Blok Stamping, various dyeing techniques, discuss how batik fabrics are valued and priced, and delve into the cultural richness behind this time-honored art form.

No experience is necessary, and all supplies are provided. Just come and learn an old technique that may become your new favorite.
