Intro to Encaustic Painting

Member and Non-Member – $75
Discover the ancient wax and resin medium of encaustic. You will play with the equipment, supplies and basic techniques in a safe environment. The curriculum includes translucent layering, mark making, and creating texture. Incorporate other media such as graphite, copy paper, and oil pastel into your work. You will learn tips and tricks for working with the hot wax to get the best results.
** All materials included.
Materials include three boards, wax, colored wax, tools, mixed media, and found collage material.
