Art Gym Denver is excited to open, for the 3rd year, its national juried printmaking exhibition imPressed 2018. This year’s exhibition is called Behind the Hedges and was juried by master printer Craig Zammiello. The opening will be March 22, 5-8 pm. Please note that due to the Nor’Easter in New York and cancelled flights, juror Craig Zammiello will not be present for the opening and consequently we had to cancel his presentation on Friday March 23 from 7-8 pm.

Behind the Hedges is a reference to Grey Gardens, the name of the East Hampton, NY estate that belonged to the Beale family. In this house, occupied in later years only by “Big” and “Little” Edie, one could observe sorrow, humor, beauty and decay all co-existing at the same time under one roof.

The exhibition displays a diverse range and exceptional use of printmaking processes including: photopolymer, etching, aquatint, lithography, linocut, woodcut, monotype, screen print, photogravure and mixed media.
