Fine art meets crafty techniques while everyday objects evoke both curiosity and discomfort in the upcoming exhibition “Revel Rebel.” Mixed media artist Jennifer Pettus challenges narratives around gender and power by transforming repurposed materials and scavenged objects into sculptures that invite wonder and reflection. Bravely experimental and deeply personal, Pettus explores modern-day societal norms. “I straddle ideas of decorum, utility, and whimsy, using instability and imperfection as disruptive forces,” explains Pettus.  Whimsical, thought-provoking, and boldly unconventional, delve into the hidden potential of the everyday in “Revel Rebel” on display October 23th through November 30th.
