Art Gym Denver is honored to show Developing Reality by Bryan Dahlberg in the Common Space Gallery with an opening reception August 15 from 5-8PM.

As an artist and camera collector, Bryan Dahlberg is interested in the power and potential photography holds. From the first photographs taken almost two hundred years ago, to the ones you’ve taken on your phone this week, photography has become a visual staple in modern life. With our easy access to photographs, artists are able to utilize photography in new ways. In his artist statement, Dahlberg states “I am fascinated by the potential of combining the visual precision of photography with the emotional power of graphic design and printmaking.” In his newest series, Developing Reality, he does just that, using photo-polymer intaglio plates exposed to his photographs, combined with relief printing to create balanced compositions of graphic elements and photography. Bryan Dahlberg graduated with a BA in Fine Art. His professional career has included photography, graphic design, and video, always keeping him in the arts. He has shown numerous times throughout the region beginning with a solo exhibition in 1980 at Camera Obscura Gallery in Denver.
