Art Gym Denver and Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Center for the Visual Arts presents Earth • Air • Water • Fire • Love, a sensory exhibition showcasing Lindsey Ernst’s work created during her artist residency at Art Gym.

Over the past six months, Lindsey Scot Ernst, a studio artist from Denver, Colorado worked with Art Gym, CVA, and visiting artist mentors to design and execute her first solo exhibition.

Her work is a unique interpretation of wearable heirlooms that give homage to both our past and future. From her geometric lines to the intuitive designs, her work tells an ancient story that is conveyed through playful and sculptural objects.

The goal of Art Gym Denver and the Center for the Visual Arts artist residencyprogram, Create Art, is to support recently graduated artists in continued creation through access to equipment, mentoring, and exhibitions. By allowing a six month residency to recently graduated artists, Art Gym Denver helps provide the tools to artists in an effort to ensure creative talents are being honed and practiced past graduation.

01.18.17, 6-7pm: Artist Talk with Lindsey Ernst about the inspiration behind the creation of her one-of-a-kind heirloom pieces.
